LCBO gave us a scare with the strike threats, talk about a one day sales boost, wow.

So the plan for this weekend is to get a 1.0 OpenWiimote out the door. I have an action plan, just need to execute it. Easy right? Hah.

Is the name of the spikes found on the tail of some dinosaurs, from wikipedia:

The thagomizer, or tail spikes, is an arrangement of four to ten spikes on the tails of particular dinosaurs of the clade Stegosauria, of which Stegosaurus stenops is the most familiar. The tail arrangement is believed to have been a defensive weapon against predators.[1]

The Etymology or root of the word? A Far Side Comic. Apparently paleobiologists have a sense of humor and the name kinda stuck.

WASHINGTON — An odd-looking Canadian coin with a bright red flower was the culprit behind the U.S. Defence Department’s false espionage warning earlier this year, The Associated Press has learned.

The odd-looking — but harmless — “poppy coin” was so unfamiliar to suspicious U.S. Army contractors travelling in Canada that they filed confidential espionage accounts about them. The worried contractors described the coins as “anomalous” and “filled with something man-made that looked like nano-technology,” according to once-classified U.S. government reports and e-mails obtained by the AP.

Bell City Chase – Toronto

I have entered the Bell City Chase again this year, after a ninth place finish in the second Toronto race in 2005, I am back.

Team Civet Cat is myself and Ana, with the support of Jeff and Pam (all people from work).

What is the Bell City Chase? It is an urban adventure race / scavenger hunt. The twist is that they allow cell phones and blackberrys (it is sponsored by Bell Canada after all). So the support crew can help us with questions and problems during the race.

My parents got a new Jack Russel puppy. Watson, our Golden Retriever, is not sure what to do with the new kid yet. So far he is pretty laid back, perfect older brother.
